End-of-Summer Barnyard Bash, Farm Tour, and Meat Market (plus freebies)
Let’s celebrate the bounty of late summer with an afternoon on the farm!
When: Friday, August 28, from 1-5 (come for a bit, or the entire time)
Price: $20 per person (age 3 and under free)
Bring your family and friends, from creaking old to strapping young-there’s something for everyone. Here’s what to expect:
We’ll have barnyard tours where you can visit our animals up close: pigs, chickens, turkeys, horses, rabbits, cattle, cats, and who knows what else. Our backyard is set up like a nature playground, and we have a volleyball net if there are enough big kids around to play ball! We’ll have lawn chairs and hammocks for parents/guardians to kick back and relax while their families/friends enjoy the farm life.
Twin Folk meat samples (freebie): We’ll have a variety of farm fresh meat samples ready for you to taste, as well as something sweet and homemade (our kids like to bake and want to treat you)!
3pm- Farm Hiking Tour: We’ll lead a group of guests on a hike way out to the far side of the farm to see the grazing sheep, as well as visit our campsites and glamping cabin (shoes recommended, but if you have wild ‘n free barefoot kids, that’s fine too!). Expect to walk at least a mile from start to finish.
Meat Market: We’ll have our pastured lamb, pork, beef, and chicken available for purchase throughout the event. It’ll be set up similar to our farmer’s market style, and you can buy straight off the farm! On farm shoppers get a free pack of brats with a purchase of over $60. Bring a cooler!
Drawing: Every guest gets 1 submission for a complimentary night at our ‘Hidden Hills’ off grid, solar powered cabin (fall is a great time to stay at the cabin). You’ll put your name in the ‘milk pail’ and we’ll draw a winner on Sept. 1. Everyone will get a discount code for camping/glamping on the farm!
We can’t wait to bask in the glow of late summer with you!
